Remove

  1. Prepare the badge removal tool with approximately 24 inches of monofilament line.
  2. Tie slip knots at both ends of the monofilament line and attach them each to the center groove of a handle.
  3. Insert the monofilament line between the launch edition badge and the liftgate.
  4. Move the badge removal tool in a sawing motion to separate the launch edition badge from the liftgate.
  5. Use IPA wipes to clean all adhesive residue and debris from the liftgate surface.

Install

  1. Open the liftgate partially.
  2. Slowly peel the launch edition badge backing, and then position the badge onto the fixture alignment pins.
  3. Position the badge fixture onto the RH rear of the liftgate, and make sure the lower and right edges of the fixture align with the liftgate.
    Note
Hold the fixture during the installation to prevent it from falling.
  4. Press the launch edition badge onto the liftgate.
  5. Remove the protective film from the badge, and then remove the fixture from the liftgate.
  6. Close the liftgate.
  7. Re-place the protective film over the badge, use a pressure roller to wet-out the badge, and then remove the protective film.
  8. Use an IPA wipe to clean the badge and any remaining debris.
    Note
Make sure that all edges of the badge are securely affixed to the liftgate.
