Seat base edges are sharp and can cause personal injury. Wear cut resistant gloves when removing the seat from the vehicle, and while performing procedures that involve work on or near the seat base.

Torque Specifications

Replace 1616775-00-B

Remove

  1. Remove the driver seat assembly. See FIRST ROW LEFT HAND SEAT COMPLETE (Remove and Install)

    Note
    Protect the seat cushion to avoid damage.
  2. Remove the 2nd row seat cushion. See 2ND ROW SEAT CUSHION (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the clips (x4) that attach the cabin carpet to the seat riser.
  5. Fold the rear edge of the LH front cabin carpet near the outboard seat riser.
  6. Remove and discard the LH front outboard seat riser bolt.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  7. Fold the front edge of the LH rear cabin carpet near the outboard seat riser.
  8. Remove and discard the LH rear outboard seat riser bolt.

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  9. Remove the LH outboard seat riser.

Install

  1. Align the locating tabs (x2) to the holes on the vehicle, and position the LH outboard seat riser for installation.
  2. Install new LH front and rear outboard seat riser bolts (x2) (1616775-00-B).
    33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Return the front and rear carpets back to their original positions.
  4. Install the clips (x4) that attach the cabin carpet to the seat riser.
  5. Install the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
  6. Install the 2nd row seat cushion. See 2ND ROW SEAT CUSHION (Remove and Replace).
  7. Install the driver seat assembly. See FIRST ROW LEFT HAND SEAT COMPLETE (Remove and Install)
