Instrument Panel - Steering Column Gap Hider - Lower - RHD (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the steering column control module. See Steering Column Control Module (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the lower instrument panel assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Lower (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the lower and upper gap hider to the steering column.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  4. Release the clips (x2) and the locator pins (x4) that attach the lower gap hider to the upper gap hider, and then remove the lower gap hider from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Align the locator pins (x4), and then install the clips (x2) that attach the lower gap hider to the upper gap hider.
  2. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the lower and upper gap hider to the steering column.
    2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)
