Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace)

 Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the phone dock surround trim. See Surround - Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the screws (x4) that attach the phone dock and charger module assembly to the center console.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
    • Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm
  3. Place a towel on the sliding door cover panel to avoid damage, and then release the tabs (x6) and the clips (x2) that attach the phone dock and charger module assembly to the center console.

    Note
    Do not take the assembly fully away as the harness is still attached.
  4. Disconnect the inductive charger module electrical connector, and then remove the phone dock and charger module assembly from the center console.
  5. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the inductive charger module to the phone dock.

    • Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm
  6. Release the tabs (x2) at the top of the inductive charger module, and then angle the module up and remove it from the phone dock.

Install

  1. Slide the inductive charger module into the phone dock datums and positioning clips, and then fully engage the tabs (x2) at the top of the module.
  2. Install the screws (x3) that attach the inductive charger module to the phone dock.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)

  3. Connect the inductive charger module electrical connector.
  4. Secure the tabs (x6) and the clips (x2) that attach the phone dock and charger module assembly to the center console, and then remove the towel.
  5. Install the screws (x4) that attach the phone dock and charger module assembly to the center console.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)

  6. Install the phone dock surround trim. See Surround - Phone Dock - Center Console (Remove and Replace).
