With assistance, release the tabs and
remove the instrument panel upper carrier assembly from the vehicle. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Upper (Remove and Replace).
NoteDo not separate the components from the upper carrier assembly. Just remove the assembly from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the LH air duct height adjustment actuator connector.
- Disconnect the LH air duct horizontal adjustment actuator connector.

Remove the screws (x5) that attach the LH air vent to the instrument panel upper
assembly.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm

Remove the LH air vent from the
instrument panel upper assembly.
NotePay attention to the datums (x4).
Install
- Align the slots (x4) on the LH air vent to the datums on the instrument panel upper assembly.

Install the screws (x5) that attach the LH air vent to the instrument panel upper
assembly.0.9 Nm (8 lbs-in)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm
- Connect the LH air duct horizontal adjustment actuator connector.
- Connect the LH air duct height adjustment actuator connector.
- Install the instrument panel upper carrier to the vehicle. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Upper (Remove and Replace).
