Release Cable - Charge Port (GB) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the charge port assembly See Charge Port (GB) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove HV insulating gloves.
  3. Remove screws securing actuator to charge port assembly.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • SET, 1/2" CUT BIT. (78 PCS DOUBLE END MINI RATCHET)
    • RATCHET, 1/4" DR, M12, BARE TOOL
    • Class 0 Electrical Protective Gloves
    • Torx T20 socket
  4. Turn over 30 degrees to take out the actuator from charge port assembly.
  5. Remove DC latch stick o-ring from charge port assembly.

    Note
    Discard after removal.
  6. Release the clip, then remove the release cable from the latch actuator.

    Note the orientation of the arm during removal.

Install

  1. Secure the clip and install the release cable onto the latch actuator.

    When installing the arm, ensure its direction matches the orientation noted during removal.
  2. Install new DC latch stick o-ring (1099100-02-A) onto charge port assembly.

    Note
    Do not damage o-ring.
  3. Position actuator onto charge port assembly.

    Note
    Gently push actuator, make sure there is no gap between actuator and charge port.
  4. Install screws securing actuator to charge port assembly.
    3.3 Nm (2.4 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • SET, 1/2" CUT BIT. (78 PCS DOUBLE END MINI RATCHET)
    • RATCHET, 1/4" DR, M12, BARE TOOL
    • Class 0 Electrical Protective Gloves
    • Torx T20 socket
  5. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
  6. Install the charge port assembly See Charge Port (GB) (Remove and Replace).
