Remove
- Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).

Remove the 2nd row cup holder
assembly. See Cup Holder Assembly - 2nd Row (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
NoteDuring removal, certain steps require extra care. See the animation(s) for detailed guidance.
- Lift up the armrest.

Partially release the LH hockey stick and place an inflatable air bag for enough
space to access the rear display fasteners.

Remove the screws (x6) that attach the
rear end module assembly to the center console.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm

Release the datums (x2) to release the
rear end module assembly from the center console.
NoteDo not take the assembly fully away as the harness is still attached.

Disconnect the electrical connectors
(x2), and then remove and discard the bolt that attaches the rear end module assembly to
the center console.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm
Install

Install a new bolt (1096312-00-A) that
attaches the rear end module assembly to the center console, and then connect the
electrical connectors (x2).
1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Torx T20 bit
- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm

Secure the datums (x2) to install the
rear end module assembly to the center console.

Install the screws (x6) that attach
the rear end module assembly to the center console.

- Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm

Remove the inflatable air bag, then secure the LH hockey stick onto the center
console.

- Put down the armrest.
- Install the 2nd row cup holder assembly. See Cup Holder Assembly - 2nd Row (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
- Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox (Connect and Disconnect).

In Toolbox, click the
Actions tab, type "PING-BASH_DISPLAY" into the search field,
click PING-BASH_DISPLAYvia Toolbox:(link), select
rear
in the Poppyseed Display Test Arg drop-down list and enter20
in the Timeout field, then click Run, and allow the routine to complete. - Disconnect the laptop.
- Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
