Torque Specifications
Remove
- Remove the LH front carpet. See CABIN CARPET - FRONT - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the passenger footwell duct. See INSTRUMENT PANEL - PASSENGER FOOTWELL DUCT (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH front carpet. See CABIN CARPET - FRONT - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the HEPA filter assembly. See SERVICE KIT - HEPA AND CARBON FILTERS (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect the LV battery. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the wiper module. See Wiper Module (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Air Intake (Remove and Replace).
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the windshield heater connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the windshield heater connector to the body.
- Disconnect the connectors (x3) on the left side of the car computer.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the electrical harness to the lower of the car computer.
- Disconnect the connectors (x3) on the right side of the car computer.

Remove the bolt that attaches the
electrical harness to the RH A-pillar.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the J1 power electrical connector from the RH body controller module.
- Disconnect the J6 underhood storage unit electrical connector from the RH body controller module.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the connector to the RH body control module.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LV connector.
- Release the clip and hook that attach the DCDC cable to the RH harness bracket.
- Push the grommet in through the RH bulkhead, and then move the RH side of the front harness in through the RH bulkhead.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the RH pedestrian protection actuator connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the RH pedestrian protection actuator connector to the body.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the front harness to the RH cowl panel.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the accelerator pedal connector.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the front harness to the body around the accelerator pedal area.
- Release the clips (x3) that attach the front harness to the LH cowl panel.
- Pull the front harness from the right side to the left side.

Remove the bolt that attaches the
ground harness to the LH A-pillar area.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 10 mm deep socket
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the J1 power electrical connector from the LH body controller module.
- Disconnect the J6 underhood storage unit electrical connector from the LH body controller module.
- Disconnect the front harness white connector X909 from the LH body harness.
- Release the harness clips (x2) from the LH body controller.
- Push the grommet in through the LH bulkhead, and then move the LH side of the front harness in through the LH bulkhead.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the LH pedestrian protection actuator connector.
- Release the clip that attaches the LH pedestrian protection actuator connector to the body.
- Remove the front body control shield. See Shield - Body Controller - Front (Remove and Replace).
- Disconnect the electrical harness from the front body controller module connectors (x5).

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the harness guide to the front body controller module.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket
- Pivot the harness guide slightly forward and up to release the temp set clip from the front body controller module.

Remove the bolt that attaches the
ground strap to the lower right side of the front body controller module.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Release the clip that attaches the positive cable to the front body controller.
-
Remove and discard the bolt that
attaches the front controller upper ground strap to the body.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Remove the positive jumper post cap.
-
Remove the stud bolt that attaches the
positive jumper post to the cowl screen bracket.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- External Torx E5
- Torque wrench with angle measurement
- Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
- Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the decoupled power brake (DPB) assembly harness connector.
- Disconnect the washer level sensor connector.
- Disconnect the windshield washer pump connector.
- Release the clips (x5) that attach the harness to the washer reservoir.
- Release the clips (x3) that attach the steering gear harness to the underhood storage unit reinforcement bracket.
- Release the connector locks, disconnect the steering gear motor connectors (x4).
- Release the front harness clip that attaches the steering wheel harness to the front subframe, and move the harness aside.
- Release the clip that attaches the radiator inlet hose to the harness bracket.
- Release the connector locking tab, and then disconnect the front subframe harness connector.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the inline bracket to the LH front body.
- Release the clip that attaches the wiper hose to the front harness bracket.

Release the connector locking tab, and
then disconnect the HVIL connector near the LH front strut tower.
NoteDO NOT push down on the red locking tab. Pull the tab away from the connector until the connector is unlocked, and then continue pulling to release the connector.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Pick Miniature Soft Grip, 90 degree tip, 6 in

Remove the bolt that attaches the
ground strap to the A/C compressor, and then set the ground strap aside.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket
-
Disconnect the HCU connector.
NoteRelease the red locking tab, then press the black release tab and rotate the lever upward to remove.
- Release the HCU connector harness clip.
-
Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the front harness ground terminal to the
body, located at the RH front shock tower.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Release the locking tab, and then disconnect the front harness ground terminals connector, located at the RH front shock tower.

Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the front harness ground terminal to the
body, located at the LH front shock tower.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Release the locking tab, and then disconnect the front harness ground terminals connector, located at the LH front shock tower.
- Remove the LH and RH front wheel liners. See WHEEL LINER - FRONT - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Release the clip that attaches the pedestrian warning harness to the speaker, and then disconnect the pedestrian warning connector.
- Disconnect the RH front end module harness connector.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the front fascia.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the main front harness to the RH headlight.

Disconnect the RH front pedestrian
protection pressure tube sensor.
NoteDo not push down on the red tab. Pull it to disengage the lock, and then pull it again to release the connector.
- Release the harness clip from the RH crush can.
- Disconnect the RH front wheel speed sensor connector.
- Release the RH front wheel speed sensor harness clips (x2) from the body.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the RH front end module bracket crash accelerometer sensor.

Disconnect the RH headlamp
connector.
NotePull the tab to disengage the lock mechanism, and then pull it again to release the connector. Do not press down on the tab.
- Disconnect the front lightbar assembly connector.
- Release the harness clip from the front end module.
- Release the front harness clip from the RH front end module bracket assembly.
- Remove the harness from the RH front end module bracket assembly.
- Disconnect the RH front side repeater assembly connectors (x2).
- Release the clip that attaches the RH front side repeater camera harness to the body.
- Push the RH side of the front main harness through the RH shock tower closeout panel.
- Disconnect the cooling fan connector.
- Disconnect the LH front end module harness connector.

Disconnect the LH front pedestrian
protection pressure tube sensor.
NoteDo not push down on the red tab. Pull it to disengage the lock, and then pull it again to release the connector.
- Release the harness clip from the LH crush can.
- Release the harness clip from the front end module.
- Release the LH front wheel speed sensor harness clips (x2) from the body.
- Disconnect the LH front wheel speed sensor connector.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the LH front end module bracket crash accelerometer sensor.

Disconnect the LH headlamp
connector.
NotePull the tab to disengage the lock mechanism, and then pull it again to release the connector. Do not press down on the tab.
- Release the clip that attaches the front harness to the LH front end module bracket assembly.
- Remove the harness from the LH front end module bracket assembly.
- Disconnect the LH front side repeater assembly connectors (x2).
- Release the clip that attaches the LH front side repeater camera harness to the body.
- Push the LH side of the front main harness through the LH shock tower closeout panel.
- Release the clips (x7) that attach the RH side of the front main harness to the body.
- Release the clips (x8) that attach the LH side of the front main harness to the body.
- Remove the front main harness from the vehicle.
Install
- Position the front main harness onto the vehicle for installation.
- Install the clips (x8) that attach the LH side of the front main harness to the body.
- Install the clips (x7) that attach the RH side of the front main harness to the body.

Route the LH side of the front main harness through the LH bulkhead.
NoteMake sure the grommet is properly installed.

Route the RH side of the front main harness through the LH bulkhead.
NoteMake sure the grommet is properly installed.
- Install the clip that attaches the windshield heater connector to the body.
- Connect the windshield heater connector, and then engage the locking tab.
- Route the LH side of the front main harness through the LH shock tower closeout panel.
- Install the clip that attaches the LH front side repeater camera harness to the body.
- Connect the LH front side repeater assembly connectors (x2).
- Route the LH side of the front harness through the LH front end module bracket assembly.
- Install the clip that attaches the front harness to the LH front end module bracket assembly.
- Connect the windshield washer pump connector.
- Install the clips (x5) that attach the harness to the washer reservoir.
- Connect the washer level sensor connector.
- Connect the electrical connector to the front end module bracket crash accelerometer sensor.
- Install the clip that attaches the front harness to the LH crush can.
- Install the clip that attaches the front harness to the front end module.
- Connect the LH headlamp connector.
- Connect the LH front pedestrian protection pressure tube sensor.
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the LH front wheel speed sensor harness to the body.
- Connect the LH front wheel speed sensor connector.
- Connect the LH front end module harness connector.
- Connect the cooling fan connector.
- Route the RH side of the front main harness through the RH shock tower closeout panel.
- Install the clip that attaches the RH front side repeater camera harness to the body.
- Connect the RH front side repeater assembly connectors (x2).
- Route the RH side of the front harness through the RH front end module bracket assembly.
- Install the front harness clip to the RH front end module bracket assembly.
- Connect the RH headlamp connector.
- Connect the electrical connector from the RH front end module bracket crash accelerometer sensor.
- Install the clip that attaches the front harness to the front end module.
- Connect the front lightbar assembly connector.
- Install the clip that attaches the front harness to the RH crush can.
- Connect the RH front pedestrian protection pressure tube sensor.
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the RH front wheel speed sensor harness to the body.
- Connect the RH Front wheel speed sensor connector.
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the LH main harness to the RH headlamp.
- Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the front fascia.
- Connect the RH front end module harness connector.
- Connect the pedestrian warning connector, and then install the clip that attaches the pedestrian warning harness to the speaker.
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the inline bracket to the LH front body.
- Connect the front subframe harness connector.
- Install the clip that attaches the wiper hose to the front harness bracket.
- Install the clip that attaches the radiator inlet hose to the harness bracket.
- Install the clip that attaches the steering gear harness to the front subframe.
- Install the clips (x3) that attach the steering gear harness to the underhood storage unit reinforcement bracket.
- Connect the steering gear assembly connectors (x4).
- Connect the front harness ground terminals connector, located at the LH front shock tower.

Install a new bolt that attaches the
front harness ground terminal to the body, located at the LH front shock tower.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Connect the front harness ground terminals connector, located at the RH front shock tower.

Install a new bolt that attaches the
front harness ground terminal to the body, located at the RH front shock tower.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:

Install the bolt that attaches the
ground strap to the A/C compressor.7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 socket

Connect the HVIL connector near the LH
front strut tower, and then engage the locking tab.
NotePush the red locking tab into the connector to engage the locking mechanism. DO NOT push down or pull up on the red locking tab.

Connect the HCU connector.
NoteRotate the lever downward, and then secure the red locking tab.
- Install the HCU connector harness clip.
- Connect the brake fluid level sensor connector.
- Connect the decoupled power brake (DPB) assembly harness connector.
- Pivot the harness guide upward and back to install the clip to the front harness.

Install new bolts (x2) that attach the
harness guide to the front body controller module.6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket

Install the bolt that attaches the
ground strap to the lower right side of the front body controller module.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the clip that attaches the positive cable to the front body controller.
- Connect the electrical harness to the front body controller module connectors (x5).
- Install the front body control shield. See Shield - Body Controller - Front (Remove and Replace).

Install the stud bolt that attaches
the positive jumper post to the cowl screen bracket.8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- External Torx E5
- Torque wrench with angle measurement
- Install the positive jumper post cap.

Install a new bolt that attaches the
front controller upper ground strap to the body.10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Install the clip that attaches the LH pedestrian protection actuator connector to the body.
- Connect the LH pedestrian protection actuator connector.
- Install the clip that attaches the RH pedestrian protection actuator connector to the body.
- Connect the RH pedestrian protection actuator connector.
- Install the wiper module. See Wiper Module (LHD) (Remove and Replace).
- Install the cabin intake duct. See Duct - Air Intake (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH front wheel liners. See WHEEL LINER - FRONT - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the J6 underhood storage unit electrical connector to the LH body controller module.
- Connect the J1 power electrical connector to the LH body controller module.
- Install the harness clips (x2) to the LH body controller.
- Connect the front harness white connector X909 to the LH body harness.

Install the bolt that attaches the

- Connect the J6 underhood storage unit electrical connector to the RH body controller module.
- Connect the J1 power electrical connector to the RH body controller module.

Install the bolt that attaches the

- Install the clip and hook that attach the DCDC cable to the RH harness bracket.
- Connect the LV connector.
- Connect the connector, and then install the clip that attaches the connector to the RH body control module.
- Connect the connectors (x3) on the right side of the car computer.
- Install the clips (x2) that attach the electrical harness to the lower of the car computer.
- Connect the connectors (x3) on the left side of the car computer.
- Install the passenger footwell duct. See INSTRUMENT PANEL - PASSENGER FOOTWELL DUCT (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH front carpet. See CABIN CARPET - FRONT - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the LV battery. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Install the HEPA filter assembly. See SERVICE KIT - HEPA AND CARBON FILTERS (Remove and Replace).
- Raise all windows and close all doors.
- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
