Remove

  1. Raise and support vehicle

    Ensure vehicle is not charging, Remove charging cable if it's plugged in
  2. Remove the cowl screen. See Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove air intake duct

    2x clips, 1x align pin, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Gently pry pin out from thermal beam then remove duct from bulkhead studs
  4. Move RH front seat backward
  5. Partially release RH front primary door seal

    For remove RH IP end cap, RH lower A pillar trim, RH front B pillar trim
  6. Remove RH IP end cap

    5x clips, 2x guide tabs
  7. Remove RH lower A pillar trim

    7x clips, 4x guide tabs, 1x push clip, Pull rear of lower A-pillar upward to release clip then pull rearward to release front tabs from carpet
  8. Release front RH cabin carpet cover from RH knee air bag cover

  9. Remove RH knee air bag cover from IP carrier

    2x connector, 5x tabs, 1x datum, 4x bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Discard bolts after removal, Remove 4x fasteners before unlatching airbag cover assembly, carefully remove connector for light by pressing tab and pulling, for airbag use pick tool to unlock tabs and release connector.
  10. Remove console RH front side panel

    14x clips, 2x datums, Use finger hole to release panel located at top edge of front side panel, Pull bottom to release remaining clips, Use caution and pull panel straight away from console to avoid damage
  11. Remove the front LH wheel liner. See Wheel Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  12. Disconnect front main harness from LH side repeater camera

  13. Lower vehicle partially and set lift onto locks

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Set vehicle to comfortable working height
  14. Release windshield heater connecter

  15. Release RH grommet from body
  16. Remove electrical tape securing harness bundle to rubber dust boot

    Use a razor blaze, carefully cut electrical tape away to expose rubber dust boot
  17. Remove locking pin from connector

    Carefully pry pin out of connector and fully remove locking pin
  18. Remove coax cable needed for the side repeater overlay MY terminal 1 (LHS)

    Inspect all components for damage

Install

  1. Apply harness tape onto LH coax overlay cable before installation

    Use Anti-abrasion tape and wrap the entire length of the coax cable to protect the cable for damage when it is in the vehicle
  2. Position MY LH coax overlay cable into place, Place through LH wheel liner

    Pull till you have roughly 12 inches of cable towards the interior of the vehicle
  3. Pull LH coax overlay cable through frunk harness

    Pull harness towards car computer and grommet, Route under steering electric steering column
  4. Tape coax overlay onto fish nylon tape
  5. Pull LH coax overlay cable through bulkhead and into interior cabin
  6. Remove nylon fish tape

    Remove tape the pull nylon fish tape out of vehicle
  7. Release side repeater cameras connector X870 from car computer

    1x connector, Release red tab before removing connector
  8. Remove locking pin from side repeater cameras connector

    Carefully pry pin out of connector and fully remove locking pin
  9. Remove MY coax terminal 1 (LHS) cable from connector

    Inspect all components for damage

Install

  1. Insert new side repeater coax terminal 1 (LHS) cable onto side repeater cameras connector

    Ensure both coax cables are fully seated into connector, Audible locking and flush mounting to confirm
  2. Secure locking pin to connector

    Align tabs of lock in connector housing, Ensure flush installation of locking pin to connector housing
  3. Install side repeater cameras connector x870 onto car computer

    1x connector
  4. Position MY LH coax overlay cable onto frunk main harness, Secure cable onto harness using zip ties

    11x zip-ties, Trim off excess material after harness has been secured
  5. Cut off the vehicle side repeater coax terminal and tape to vehicle harness

    Cut the coax connector only
  6. Connect front main harness to LH side repeater camera

    2x connectors, Engage locking tabs
  7. Secure RH grommet from body

    Use electrical tape to wrap the end of the dust boot
  8. Install the front LH wheel liner. See Wheel Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the cowl screen. See Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install air intake duct

    2x clips, 1x align pin, 1x bolt, 10mm, 4 Nm, Position clips onto bulkhead studs then duct secure onto thermal bar
  11. Install HEPA filter assembly

    2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm, Pivot forward edge down past frunk assembly, Then carefully move rear edge past brake reservoir and into position, Gently press on RH side of filter to seat seal onto duct, Do not pinch washer hose inbetween HEPA filter assembly and body
  12. Install frunk onto vehicle

    4x clips, 3x tabs, 2x trim clips, Replace any clips if broken or missing, Ensure aero seal is positioned over frunk leading edge and not under leading edge
  13. Install frunk access panel

  14. Install rear apron

    16x trim clips, 3x locator pins, 2x clips, Replace any missing or damaged clips, Ensure pyrotechnic hood actuators are aligned with openings in apron
  15. Close hood
  16. Install console RH front side panel

    14x clips, 2x locating pins, Ensure all clips and pins seat propely
  17. Install RH knee air bag cover to IP carrier

    2x connector, 5x tabs, 1x location pin, 4x bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new bolts, After reconnecting 2x harness assure 5x datum's and location pin align prior to re-attaching air bag cover assembly, insert 4x e10 bolts to secure air bag assembly after re-attachment
  18. Secure front RH cabin carpet cover to RH knee air bag cover

  19. Install RH lower A pillar trim

    7x clips, 4x guide tabs, 1x push clip, Align front guide tabs then align slot with harness bracket and then push rear clip to secure, Make sure all clips and tabs fully seated
  20. Install RH IP end cap

    5x clips, 2x guide tabs, Pull the seal over end cap
  21. Install RH front primary door seal

    Verify seal is seated properly on all trim panels
  22. Move RH front seat to original position
  23. Raise RH front window
  24. Close RH front door
  25. Verify operation of windshield washers and wipers
  26. Clear DAS Calibration through UI

    Controls > Service > Camera Calibration, Select Clear Calibration, Verify calibration was cleared successfully, Wait for prompt to disappear automatically before continuing, Calibration in Progress message and progress icon will appear during the next drive cycle
