Remove
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH rear wheel arch liner. See WHEEL LINER - REAR - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).

Place the oil drain pan under the
brake line junction block.
NoteRaise the vehicle if necessary.

Remove the LH rear brake line tube
outer nut.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 12 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm 6-point flare nut wrench
- ¼ in to 3/8 in adapter

Remove the LH rear brake line tube
inner nut.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 12 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm 6-point flare nut wrench
- ¼ in to 3/8 in adapter
- Remove the black clip from the LH rear junction block.
- Release the brake lines from the LH rear junction block.

Remove the nut that attaches the LH
rear junction block to the body, and then remove the junction block.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
Install

Install the nut that attaches the LH
rear junction block to the body.6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 4 in extension
- 10 mm socket
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Position the brake lines into the LH rear brake junction block.
- Install the black clip to attach the brake lines to LH rear junction block

Install the LH rear brake line tube inner nut.16 Nm (11.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 12 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm 6-point flare nut wrench
- ¼ in to 3/8 in adapter

Install the LH rear brake line tube outer nut.16 Nm (11.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 12 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- 12 mm 6-point flare nut wrench
- ¼ in to 3/8 in adapter
- Remove the oil drain from under the brake line junction block.
- Bleed the brake fluid for LH and RH rear calipers. See .
- Install the LH rear wheel arch liner. See WHEEL LINER - REAR - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Perform one of the
following:
- If the brake pads
were not replaced in this procedure, perform a road test using a series
of aggressive stops and make sure that there is proper brake pedal feel
and brake performance.NoteAdd test drive correction code 00040100 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
- If the brake pads
were replaced in this procedure, perform the brake pad burnishing
procedure. See Brake Pads - Burnishing.NoteAdd the correction code for brake pad burnishing 33013000 as a separate activity to the Service Visit.
- If the brake pads
were not replaced in this procedure, perform a road test using a series
of aggressive stops and make sure that there is proper brake pedal feel
and brake performance.
