Note
The TCU contains the LTE module, Wi-Fi / BT module, LTE and Wi-Fi / BT antennas,
and Automotive Audio Bus (A2B) transceiver. The TCU assembly must be replaced if any
component fails.

Remove
- Remove the TCU. See Antennas and Amplifiers - TLA, Telematics Control Unit (TCU) (Remove and Install).

If equipped, slide the retaining tab of the telematics control unit (TCU)
SIM card to the left, and then remove the SIM card.
NoteDo not destroy the SIM card, as it will be installed into the new TCU.
Replace

If equipped, insert the original SIM card into the TCU slot with the gold
pads facing downward, then press the SIM card inward.
WarningMake sure that the SIM card goes into the slot, before releasing your grip of the SIM card.NoteOnce the SIM card is fully pressed into the slot, the retaining tab will automatically return to its original position.

Reinstall the software. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.

If the TCU is equipped with
an eSIM card, perform the following substeps to swap the eSIM profile.

- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
