Rear Drive Unit Assembly - Assembly, Breather, 3DU (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Partially lower the rear subframe and drive unit assembly. See Rear Subframe (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove rear drive unit breather.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Combination Wrench 12pt 22mm
    • ADAPTER, IMPACT, 1/4" DR - 3/8" DR
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Install

  1. Secure oil fill plug to the drive unit.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    • ADAPTER, IMPACT, 1/4" DR - 3/8" DR
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

    Note
    Verify the O-ring is not damaged, replace O-ring as needed.
  2. Install the rear subframe and drive unit assembly. See Rear Subframe (Remove and Replace).
