Shell - Seat Back - Front Seat (Sport Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH headrest from the seat. See Headrest - Front Seat - LH (Sport Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Move the LH front seat to the most forward and upward position.
  3. Release the strap clips (x2) from the lower section of the LH seat back shell.
  4. Release the locking clips that attach the LH front headrest bracket assembly.

    Note
    Depress the headrest release clips, make sure that both clips are fully released, and then release the headrest bracket assembly by pulling it straight up.
  5. Release the clips (x4) and tabs (x6) that attach the LH seatback shell to the LH seat, and then remove the seatback shell from the seat frame.

    Note
    Start at the top of the seat and pull the shell away from the frame. When the side clips are free, pull at the bottom and carefully roll the bottom tabs out of the slots. If pulled straight out, the clips on the seat back can break. Release the remaining clips from underneath the seat assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH seatback shell onto the seatback, and then install the clips (x4) and tabs (x6) that attach the LH seatback shell to the LH seat frame.

    Note
    Install the lower clips first, and then rotate the shell up into position. Apply light pressure to make sure that the seat back shell is fully seated. The headrest posts will engage the seat back when installed.
  2. Hook the strap clips (x2) onto the LH seatback shell assembly.

    Ensure the straps are tight for proper fit and installation.
  3. Install the headrest bracket assembly.

    Note
    Make sure that the headrest bracket is fully seated. An audible click will be heard when installing the headrest bracket. Ensure the headrest assembly is fully seated by pulling up on the headrest bracket assembly
  4. Install the LH headrest to the seat. See Headrest - Front Seat - LH (Sport Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  5. Move the LH front seat to its original position.
