Harness - Liftgate Trim (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the liftgate lower trim. See Liftgate Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
  2. Gently peel back the lower portion of the NVH pad that covers the liftgate harness to access the harness.
    Note
    The NVH pad is secured with adhesive tape. Take care not to damage the pad.
  3. Disconnect the liftgate electrical connectors (x3), release the clip and guides (x7) that attach the harness to the liftgate lower trim, and then remove the harness from the trim.

Install

  1. Connect the liftgate electrical connectors (x3), and then install the clip and guides (x7) that attach the harness to the liftgate lower trim.
  2. Lay the NVH pad back to its position and wet out the adhesive to secure the pad.
  3. Install the liftgate lower trim. See Liftgate Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
