Remove
- Disconnect rear drive unit HV cable from HV battery and move it aside. See HIGH VOLTAGE HARNESS REAR DRIVE UNIT (Remove and Replace).

Remove label from phase cover.
NoteDiscard label after removal.

Remove bolts securing rear drive unit phase out cover.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- External Torx Plus EP10

Remove phase out cover from rear drive unit.
NoteUse a plastic trim tool to aid in removal, if phase out cover or O-rings are damaged then replace with a new unit.
Install

Install phase out cover onto rear drive unit.
NoteIf phase out cover or O-rings are damaged then replace with a new unit, lightly lubricate cover as needed.

Install bolts securing rear drive unit phase out cover.14 Nm (10.3 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- External Torx Plus EP10
- Install new 3 phase access label.
- Install and connect rear drive unit HV cable to HV battery. See HIGH VOLTAGE HARNESS REAR DRIVE UNIT (Remove and Replace).
