Note
This procedure requires the A/C
Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge) procedure to be performed. If not already
automatically added to the Service Visit, add correction code 18200102 as a
separate correction within the same activity to the Service Visit.
Remove
- Remove the HVAC module assembly. See HVAC Module (Remove and Install).
Install

Install the HVAC module assembly. See HVAC Module (Remove and Install).
NoteBack to current procedure after connecting the LV battery power.
- Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox (Connect and Disconnect).
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, type "Actuator" into the search field, click TEST-SELF_VCRIGHT_X_HVAC-CASE-ACTUATORSvia Toolbox:(link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap , and allow the routine to complete.
- Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): TEST_VC_X_HVAC-BLOWER-IDENTIFICATION-AND-HVAC-PERFORMANCEvia Service Mode Plus:Thermal ➜ Actions ➜ Test HVAC Performance + Blower Identificationvia Toolbox:(link)
- Disconnect the laptop.
- Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Install air intake duct. See Duct - Air Intake (Remove and Replace).
- Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Install the HEPA filter assembly. See HEPA Filter Assembly (Remove and Replace).
- Move both front seats to original position.
- On the touchscreen, tap , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column back to original position.
- Raise all windows and close all doors.
