HVAC Blower Motor - Cabin HVAC (Remove and Install)

  • Ratchet/torque wrench
  • Hex Stubby 1/4in Dr x 6mm
 Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the cross car beam from vehicle. See Beam - Cross Car (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove bolt securing HVAC assembly to RH side of bulkhead.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 mm deep socket
  3. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the HVAC blower motor to the HVAC module, and then remove the blower motor from the vehicle.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Hex Stubby 1/4in Dr x 6mm

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the HVAC blower motor to the HVAC module, and then install the blower motor from the vehicle.
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Hex Stubby 1/4in Dr x 6mm
  2. Install bolt securing HVAC assembly to RH side of bulkhead.
    5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 10 mm deep socket
  3. Install the cross car beam to vehicle. See Beam - Cross Car (Remove and Replace).
