Actuator - Pedestrian Protection - Active Hood - LH (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Disconnect LV battery. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the LH pedestrian protection actuator.

    Note
    Slide to disengage the white lock, then disconnect the connector.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attaches the LH pedestrian protection actuator to the body, then remove the actuator from the vehicle.

    • Torx T30 socket
    • Torque wrench with angle measurement

Install

  1. Install the LH pedestrian protection actuator to the body, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the actuator to the body.
    4.7 Nm (3.5 lbs-ft)

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the LH pedestrian protection actuator.
