Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Use plastic trim tool to remove the LH liftgate bumper base.

    Use masking tape to protect the trim from scratching.
  3. Use plastic trim tool to remove the RH liftgate bumper base.

Install

  1. Align the notches of the LH liftgate bumper base with the trim cutouts, then install the bumper base into place.

    Note

    Before installation, rotate the base clip to align with the notches of the head clip.

    After installation, perform a wiggle test to see if the clips are locked properly.

  2. Align the notches of the RH liftgate bumper base with the trim cutouts, then install the bumper base into place.

  3. Close the liftgate.
