Fascia - Rear - Lower (Performance) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Assembly - Fascia and Diffuser - Rear (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the rear diffuser from the rear fascia assembly. See Diffuser - Rear Fascia (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH and RH rear license plate lights from the rear fascia assembly. See Tail Lights - Lamp- Rear License Plate (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect the LH and RH rear BLE connector.s

  5. Remove the screws (x6) that attach the LH and RH rear fascia lamps to the rear fascia assembly.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket

  6. Release the clips (x8) that attach the rear fascia harness to the rear fascia assembly, and then remove the LH and RH rear lamps and rear fascia harness from the vehicle.
  7. Remove the LH and RH upper rear fascias from the lower rear fascia. See Fascia - Rear - Upper - LH (Performance) (Remove and Replace).

    Note
    It's not necessary to separate the BLE from the upper rear fascia.
  8. Remove the LH and RH lower rear fascia splitters from the lower rear fascia. See Splitter - Lower Rear Fascia - LH (Performance) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Release the clip, tabs (x3) and tether that attach the rear tow eye cover to the lower rear fascia, and then remove the cover from the lower rear fascia.

Install

  1. Slide the tab of the rear tow eye cover to the slotted position on the lower rear fascia, and then press inward to engage all the tabs.
  2. Install the LH and RH lower rear fascia splitters from the lower rear fascia. See Splitter - Lower Rear Fascia - LH (Performance) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Install the LH and RH upper rear fascias. See Fascia - Rear - Upper - LH (Performance) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the clips (x8) that attach the rear fascia harness to the rear fascia assembly.
  5. Install the screws (x6) that attach the LH and RH rear fascia lamps to the rear fascia assembly.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

  6. Connect the LH and RH rear BLE connectors.

  7. Install the LH and RH rear license plate tail lights. See Tail Lights - Lamp- Rear License Plate (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the rear diffuser. See Diffuser - Rear Fascia (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the rear fascia assembly. See Assembly - Fascia and Diffuser - Rear (Remove and Install).
