HV Battery (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Warning

This procedure is a DRAFT. Although it has been validated, Warnings and Cautions might be missing. Follow safety requirements and use extreme caution when working on or near High Voltage systems and components.

2026-05-21: Added warnings to never move the gantry with a suspended load or put any part of the body underneath a suspended load. Changed wording to clarify that crates are positioned under gantries rather than gantries moved over crates.

Remove butyl patches covering RH rocker access holes

Install Universal Lift Pad Adapters onto RH lift arms

Access thermal system routines via UI

Perform "Start Thermal Fill/Drain (Coolant Only)" through Service UI

Fold RH front cabin carpet rearward

Disconnect LV battery and first responder loop

2x connectors, Ensure that one minute has passed after window movement before performing the power-off, Release green locking tab, Press black tab then pull black connector lock outwards to release connection, Release red lock tab on FRL, Allow 2 minutes for all electrical circuits to fully discharge
Verify operation of multimeter

Set multimeter to DC voltage, Confirm multimeter is properly measuring voltage by testing the 16v battery
Release LH body harness from rear body and move aside

On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Thermal > Actions > Stop Thermal Fill/Drain > Run, and allow the routine to complete.
Tap Thermal > Coolant System > Coolant Purge Start > Run, and allow the routine to complete.
Remove diagnostic cable from port to disconnect toolbox from vehicle
Torque both RH forward HV battery bolts

Install RH front cabin carpet support access plug

Fold RH front main cabin carpet back to original position
Install console RH front side panel

Install RH knee air bag cover to IP carrier

2x connector, 5x tabs, 1x location pin, 4x bolts, E10, 8 Nm, Install new bolts, After reconnecting 2x harness assure 5x datum's and location pin align prior to re-attaching air bag cover assembly, insert 4x e10 bolts to secure air bag assembly after re-attachment
Secure front RH cabin carpet cover to RH knee air bag cover

Install rear apron

Close hood
Raise all four windows
