Remove
- Open the LH front door, and lower the LH front window.
- Remove the LH tweeter. See Tweeter - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH front door reflector. See DOOR REFLECTOR (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolts (x3) that
attach the trim panel to the LH front door.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
- Use a plastic trim tool to insert the inflatable air bag to the lower left corner of the LH front door trim, then inflate it to release the lower left clip(s).

Continue to pull and release
all of the clips around the edge of the trim panel, working from the bottom
up.
CAUTIONDo not pull the trim panel far away from the door as the panel is still attached by connectors and cables.
- Release the manual release cable from the cable bracket and then remove the cable collar from the trim panel and pivot the collar down to a vertical orientation.
- Slide the cable barrel end out of the release lever, and remove the cable from the trim panel.
- Lift the NVH pad to access the working area.
- Disconnect the LH front door connectors (x5).
- Release the clips and hooks that attach the electrical harness to the trim.
- Remove the panel from the vehicle, and then place the panel on a clean surface.
Install
- Bring the trim panel to the door, and rest it on the door edge.
- Connect the LH front door connectors (x5).
- Install the clips and hooks that attach the electrical harness to the trim.
- Position the manual release cable in a vertical orientation, and slide the cable barrel end into the release lever.
- Pivot the manual release cable collar to a horizontal orientation and press the collar into the trim panel, and then secure the cable to the cable bracket.
- Lift the trim panel, compress the LH front door inner belt seal slightly, and then hook the trim panel tabs into the top edge of the door.

Fasten the clips that attach
the trim panel to the door.
NoteReplace any broken clips.
- Make sure that the trim panel fits tightly, and that there are no gaps from misaligned or bent clips.

Install the bolts (x3) that
attach the trim panel to the LH front door.6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)CAUTIONMake sure that all fasteners are properly torqued and not cross-threaded.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
- Install the LH front door reflector. See DOOR REFLECTOR (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH tweeter. See Tweeter - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).

On the laptop, click the
Actions tab and search for "RGB". Select TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_RGBvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and
allow the routine to complete.
NoteFor the RH front door trim, run the TEST-SELF_VCRIGHT_RGBvia Toolbox: (link) routine.
- Reinstall the software. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
- Disconnect the laptop.
- Close the door and verify the operation of the manual door release lever, that the door latch releases smoothly and easily.
- Raise the LH front window and close the door.
