Remove
- Open the liftgate.

Use a telescoping hood prop to support
the liftgate.
NotePlace a towel in-between the prop and the liftgate to prevent damage to the liftgate trim.
- Release the LH upper power strut clip, separate the LH liftgate power strut from the ball stud, and then move the power strut aside.

Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
liftgate ball stud to the vehicle, and then remove the ball stud from the vehicle.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
Install

Position the LH liftgate ball stud
into the vehicle, and then install the bolt that attaches the ball stud to the
vehicle.20 Nm (14.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 13 mm socket
- Install the clip that attaches the LH upper power strut to the ball stud.
- Remove the liftgate support.
- Close the liftgate.
