Robust 12V Power Outlet Assembly (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
  2. Disconnect the 12V power outlet connector, and then slide it upward to remove it from the center console.
  3. Release the locking tabs (x2) that attach the 12V power outlet to its housing, and then push the 12V power outlet out of the housing.
    Note
    Flip the center console as needed during the operation.
  4. Release the locking tabs (x2) that attach the 12V power outlet housing to the center console, and then push the 12V power outlet out of the center console.

Install

  1. Separate the new 12V power outlet housing and the new outlet.
  2. Install the 12V power outlet housing to the center console.
    Note
    Push the 12V power outlet housing along the left positioning slot until the locking tabs are secured. Flip the center console as needed.
  3. Install the 12V power outlet to the 12V power outlet housing.
    Note
    Push the 12V power outlet along the upper positioning slot until the locking tabs are installed in place. Flip the center console as needed.
  4. Install and connect the 12V power outlet connector.
    Note
    Slide the 12V power outlet connector downward to install it to the proper position.
  5. Install the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
