Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the upper B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Push open the LH coat hook.
  3. Open the LH coat hook screw cover.
  4. Remove the LH coat hook screw.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • Torx T25 bit
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Wurth ¼ in hexagon 1 Nm - 5 Nm torque wrench (installation only)
  5. Partially release the LH headliner, and then remove the screw that attaches the LH front headliner to the body tether.

    • Torx T30 bit
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Wurth ¼ in hexagon 1 Nm - 5 Nm torque wrench (installation only)
  6. Install an inflatable air bag to support the LH headliner.

    Note
    Take care not to over-support.
  7. Gently pry up the tabs (x3) to release the LH coat hook bezel from the headliner.
  8. Release the electrical harness clips (x2), and then disconnect the LH rear map light connector.
  9. Remove the screws (x7) that attach the LH coat hook and map light assembly to the vehicle, and then rotate the coat hook bezel to remove the assembly from the vehicle.

    • Wurth ¼ in hexagon 1 Nm - 5 Nm torque wrench (installation only)

Install

  1. Rotate the coat hook bezel to install the LH coat hook and map assembly to the vehicle, and then install the screws (x7).
    1 Nm (.7 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T20 bit
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Wurth ¼ in hexagon 1 Nm - 5 Nm torque wrench (installation only)
  2. Connect the LH rear map light connector, and then install the electrical harness clips (x2).
  3. Secure the tabs (x3) to install the LH coat hook bezel to the headliner.

    Note
    Make sure the tabs are properly installed.
  4. Release the air and remove the inflatable air bag.
  5. Install the screw that attaches the LH front headliner to the body tether.
    2 Nm (1.5 lbs-ft)

  6. Install the LH coat hook screw.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  7. Close the LH coat hook screw cover.
  8. Push the LH coat hook closed.
  9. Install the upper B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
