Ensure the vehicle is not charging.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  5. Clean the area around the brake fluid reservoir breather cap and remove the cap.
  6. Add clean brake fluid to the MAX level in the reservoir.
  7. Install the pressure bleeder adapter onto the vehicle brake reservoir.
  8. Connect power supply to the bleeder tool, and then turn the bleeder tool on.
  9. Set the brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 PSI, and then attach the brake bleed reservoir to the brake bleed adapter.
  10. Remove the LH front caliper outer bleed valve cover, and then install the fluid catcher.
  11. Open the outer bleed valve and watch the fluid as it flows out of the caliper.
  12. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Chassis > Procedures > DPB Post Replacement > PROC_DPB_BRAKE-FLUID-CHANGE, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.

    Note
DPB will pressurize brake system with impulses.
  13. Close the bleed valve when the pump stops, or when clean fluid without bubbles flows out of the caliper.
  14. Make sure that the reservoir does not go empty, or that the catch bottle does not overfill.
  15. Repeat step 11 through step 14 until clean fluid without bubbles flows out of the caliper.
  16. Remove the fluid catcher, and then torque the LH front caliper outer bleed valve and install the valve cap.
    18.5 Nm (13.6 lbs-ft)
  17. Repeat step 10 through step 16 to bleed the LH front inner bleed valve.
  18. Turn off and remove the pressure brake bleeder kit from the vehicle.
  19. Check the brake fluid level and top off as necessary.
  20. Install the service brake reservoir cap.
  21. Press the brake pedal several times to verify proper feel and action.
  22. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Chassis > Procedures > DPB Post Replacement > Corner Stiffness Test, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
    • If the test fails due to leakage, identify and resolve the source of the leak.
    • If the test fails on stiffness test, perform the brake fluid bleed procedure on the failed caliper.
    • Should the test continue to fail after bleeding the failed caliper, proceed with the Advanced Bleed Procedure.
  23. Disconnect the laptop. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  24. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  25. Install the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  26. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  27. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
  28. Perform a road test to make sure there is proper pedal feel and brake performance.
