LV Battery (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Power off the vehicle from the center display.
  3. Remove the HEPA filter assembly. See HEPA Filter Assembly (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  5. Wait 2 minutes for the electrical system to fully discharge.
  6. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LV battery to the vehicle.

    • 8 mm socket
  7. Remove the LV battery from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the LV battery to the vehicle.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
  2. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  3. Enable Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  4. Unlock the gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  5. On the touchscreen, tap Low Voltage (at the middle of the touchscreen), and then tap Power Distribution.
  6. Click the "Battery Icon", and then tap Learn New Battery > Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  7. Install the HEPA filter assembly. See HEPA Filter Assembly (Remove and Replace).
  8. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
