Reuse

Remove

  1. Enter Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  2. Unlock Gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  3. Select Chassis > Brakes > EPB Service Mode, click BOTH in EPB Selection, and START in Action Selection, and click Run to allow the routine complete.
  4. Release LH front section of headliner from body. See FRONT HEADLINER (Remove and Install).
  5. Disconnect connector from interior endpoint.
  6. Release RH body harness clips from front head area.
  7. Release RH body harness from RH A - pillar area.
  8. Remove 2nd row seat cushion. See 2ND ROW SEAT CUSHION (Remove and Replace).
  9. Remove RH lower C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (5-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  10. Remove parcel shelf. See PARCEL SHELF (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove rear headliner panel See REAR HEADLINER (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove RH trunk pocket bracket. See .
  13. Remove RH trunk side trim. See TRUNK SIDE TRIM LEFT HAND - REAR UNDER BODY (Remove and Replace).
  14. Remove RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  15. Remove LH front seat front and rear bolts. See FIRST ROW LEFT HAND SEAT COMPLETE (Remove and Install).

    Note
    Do not remove the seat from vehicle in this step.
  16. Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  17. Remove RH front seat from vehicle. See 1ST ROW SEAT - LEFT HAND DRIVE - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
  18. Remove RH B-pillar applique. See B-PILLAR APPLIQUE - LH (Remove and Install).
  19. Remove RH front cabin carpet. See CABIN CARPET - FRONT - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
  20. Pull out RH body harness from RH instrument panel.
  21. Disconnect RH body harness connectors on LH side of car computer.
  22. Disconnect RH body harness connectors on RH side of car computer.
  23. Release harness clip from left lower corner of car computer.
  24. Release RH body harness clips from RH cowl panel.
  25. Remove bolt securing ground harness from RH A-pillar area.

    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  26. Disconnect connector from RH controller.
  27. Disconnect J12 body connector from VCRIGHT.
  28. Disconnect J4 body connector from VCRIGHT.
  29. Disconnect J2 body connector from VCRIGHT.
  30. Disconnect J5 body connector from VCRIGHT.
  31. Disconnect windshield harness connectors from harness guide RH lower A-pillar area.
  32. Disconnect 12V connector from vehicle.
  33. Release DCDC cable clips from RH harness bracket.
  34. Release RH body harness guide from RH lower A-pillar area.
  35. Release RH body harness clips from RH front sill area.
  36. Disconnect LH body harness connectors from below RH front seat.
  37. Release RH body harness bracket clip from below RH front seat.
  38. Release RH harness clips from below RH B-pillar area.
  39. Release RH body harness clips from RH B-pillar side area.
  40. Disconnect RH front retractor connectors.
  41. Disconnect RH B pillar accelerometer sensor connector.
  42. Release grommet connector then remove RH rear door harness from B-pillar area.

    Note
    Pry at both the top and then the bottom of rear door harness grommet while pulling away from B-pillar to release door harness.
  43. Remove RH rear door harness connector from B-pillar area.

    Release the connector clip from outer the B-pillar.
  44. Remove RH body harness ground strap from RH rear sill area.

    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  45. Disconnect 2nd row 40 seat connector.
  46. Disconnect HVC logic connector and install logic cap.

    Note
    Release locking tab then push the handle downward to release connector.
  47. Release positive 12V output cover from PCS cable.
  48. Remove PCS cable from 12V passthrough output.

    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 13 mm deep socket
  49. Release RH body harness from RH rear body.
  50. Release clips RH body harness to rear body and move aside.
  51. Disconnect RH 2nd row retractor connector.

    Note
    Lift orange locking tab then release the connector, and remove it from the harness bracket.
  52. Remove the telematics control unit (TCU). See Telematics Control Unit (TCU) (Remove and Install).
  53. Release RH rear section of headliner from body. See REAR HEADLINER (Remove and Replace).
  54. Remove fastening bolt rear RH side curtain air bag from body.

  55. Disconnect liftgate harness connectors from body harness.
  56. Disconnect RH power strut connector.
  57. Disconnect harness connector for RH side curtain air bag.
  58. Release RH body harness clips around RH C-pillar area.
  59. Release RH body harness clips from RH rear head area.
  60. Disconnect subwoofer connector.
  61. Disconnect audio amplifier connectors.
  62. Remove RH body harness ground strap from RH side trunk area.

  63. Release RH body harness clips from RH side trunk area.
  64. Remove rear fascia assembly from body. See GUID-FF55B6F8-E257-4E77-B06D-3511D38E1426.html.
  65. Disconnect rear subframe harness connector and RH rear EPB connector.
  66. Release RH body harness clips from RH rear under body area.
  67. Release RH body harness clips from rear fascia area.
  68. Push RH body harness through RH wheelhouse outer assembly.
  69. Remove RH body harness from vehicle.

Install

  1. Position RH body harness onto vehicle.
  2. Push RH body harness through RH wheelhouse outer assembly.
  3. Secure RH body harness clips to rear fascia area.
  4. Secure RH body harness clips to RH rear under body area.
  5. Connect rear subframe harness connector and RH rear EPB connector.
  6. Install rear fascia assembly to body. See GUID-FF55B6F8-E257-4E77-B06D-3511D38E1426.html.
  7. Secure RH body harness clips to RH side trunk area.
  8. Install RH body harness ground strap to RH side trunk area.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  9. Connect audio amplifier connectors.
  10. Connect subwoofer connector.
  11. Secure RH body harness clips around RH C-pillar area.
  12. Secure RH body harness clips to RH rear head area.
  13. Connect harness connector for RH side curtain air bag.

    Note
    When the connector is fully seated, you will hear the click sound of the secondary locking pin returning.
  14. Connect RH power strut connector.
  15. Connect liftgate harness connectors.
  16. Secure RH rear section of headliner to body. See FRONT HEADLINER (Remove and Install).
  17. Connect RH 2nd row retractor connector.

    Note
    When the connector is fully seated, you will hear the "click" sound, and install it onto the harness bracket.
  18. Fasten clips RH body harness to rear body.
  19. Install RH body harness onto rear body.
  20. Install positive 12V output from PCS cable and torque nut securing it.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

  21. Install positive 12V output cover to PCS cable.
  22. Remove logic cap and connect HVC logic connector.

    Align connector then pull the handle to locking position get connector fully seated.
  23. Connect 2nd row 40 seat connector.
  24. Install RH body harness ground strap to RH rear sill area.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  25. Install RH rear door harness connector to B-pillar area.
  26. Install RH rear door harness connector to B-pillar.
  27. Connect RH B pillar accelerometer sensor connector.
  28. Connect RH front retractor connectors.
  29. Secure RH body harness clips to RH B-pillar side area.
  30. Secure RH harness clips from below RH B-pillar area.
  31. Secure RH body harness bracket clip to below RH front seat.
  32. Connect LH body harness connectors to below RH front seat.
  33. Secure RH body harness clips to RH front sill area.
  34. Secure RH body harness guide to RH lower A-pillar area.
  35. Connect windshield harness connectors to harness guide RH lower A-pillar area.
  36. Connect J5 body connector to VCRIGHT.
  37. Connect J2 body connector to VCRIGHT.
  38. Connect J4 body connector to VCRIGHT.
  39. Connect J12 body connector to VCRIGHT.
  40. Connect connector to RH controller.
  41. Secure DCDC cable clips to RH harness bracket.
  42. Connect 12V connector to vehicle.
  43. Install bolt securing ground harness to RH A-pillar area.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  44. Secure RH body harness clips to RH cowl panel.
  45. Secure harness clip to left lower corner of car computer.
  46. Connect RH body harness connectors on RH side of car computer.
  47. Connect RH body harness connectors on LH side of car computer.
  48. Thread RH body harness through RH instrument panel.
  49. Secure RH body harness to RH A - pillar area.
  50. Secure RH body harness clips to front head area.
  51. Connect connector to interior endpoint.
  52. Install RH front cabin carpet. See CABIN CARPET - FRONT - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
  53. Install RH B-pillar applique onto vehicle. See B-PILLAR APPLIQUE - LH (Remove and Install).
  54. Install RH upper C-pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  55. Install RH trunk side trim. See TRUNK SIDE TRIM LEFT HAND - REAR UNDER BODY (Remove and Replace).
  56. Install RH trunk pocket bracket. See .
  57. Install RH lower C pillar trim. See Trim - C-Pillar - Lower - LH (5-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  58. Install RH front seat into vehicle. See 1ST ROW SEAT - LEFT HAND DRIVE - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
  59. Install RH lower A pillar trim. See A PILLAR LOWER TRIM - LEFT HAND (Remove and Install).
  60. Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  61. Install rear headliner panel. See REAR HEADLINER (Remove and Replace).
  62. Install parcel shelf. See PARCEL SHELF (Remove and Replace).
  63. Move RH front seat backward.
  64. Install RH front seat front and rear bolts. See 1ST ROW SEAT - LEFT HAND DRIVE - RIGHT HAND (Remove and Replace).
  65. Install 2nd row seat cushion. See 2ND ROW SEAT CUSHION (Remove and Replace).
  66. Move LH and RH front seat to original position.
  67. Install LH front section of headliner to body. See FRONT HEADLINER (Remove and Install).
  68. Install RH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  69. Install LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
  70. Unlock Gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  71. Enter Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  72. Select Brakes > EPB Service Mode, click BOTH in EPB Selection, and STOP in Action Selection, and click Run to allow the routine complete.
  73. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  74. Remove wheel chocks.
  75. Raise all windows and Close all four doors.
