- 1453028-00-A- Badge Removal Kit
- 1049517-00-A - SEAM ROLLER, SILICONE, 5"
- 2091864-00-A - REAR LEFT BADGE JIG
Remove
- Prepare the badge removal tool (1453028-00-A) with approximately 24 inches/60 centimeters of monofilament line.
- Tie slip knots at both ends of the fishing line and attach them each to the center groove of a handle.

Move the badge removal tool in a
sawing motion to separate the
MODEL Y+
badge from the liftgate. - Use IPA wipes to clean all adhesive residue and debris from the lower left liftgate surface.
Install

Slowly peel the backing of the
MODEL Y+
badge, then align the holes of the protective film with the location pins on the jig (2091864-00-A) to install the badge onto the jig. -
Adjust the liftgate to an appropriate
height, and then install the jig into position on the liftgate.
NoteThe jig lower and left edge should be aligned with the liftgate edge. Hold on to the jig during the installation process to avoid the jig falling.

Use finger to press the
MODEL Y+
badge onto the liftgate, then remove the protective film and the jig.NoteDo not discard the protective film, it will be used again in the next step. -
Close the liftgate, then replace the
protective film over the badge, use a pressure roller (1049517-00-A) to fully adhere the
badge, and then remove the protective film.
CAUTIONBe careful not to damage the badge during the rolling process.

Use an IPA wipe to clean the badge and
the area around the badge.
NoteMake sure that all edges of the badge are securely affixed to the liftgate surface.
