INSTRUMENT PANEL STEERING COLUMN UPPER GAP HIDER (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the IP upper assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Upper (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove steering column upper gap hider to steering column.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
    Warning IconA warning icon, calling your attention to a possibly risky situation
    CAUTION
    Check for broken clip pieces on the connector, and remove if present.

Install

  1. Install steering column upper gap hider onto steering column.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Make sure that the steering column control module is properly seated.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
  2. Install the IP upper assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Upper (Remove and Replace).
  3. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Steering, use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column back to its original position, and then touch Save.
