Rear Drive Unit - Rear Drive Inverter Fluid Coupling Straight (RR)

Remove

  1. Release bolts securing LH mount assembly to rear drive unit. See Rear Drive Unit Assembly - 3DU - Drive Unit - LH Mount - 3DU (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove bolt securing straight fluid coupling.

    Note
    Gently pry on mount upwards from the rear to assist with bolt removal.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
    • 4 in extension
  3. Remove straight fluid coupling from drive inverter assembly.

Install

  1. Install straight fluid coupling into drive inverter assembly.

    Note
    Take care not to damage the sealing ring, ensure straight fluid coupling is seated properly into drive inverter assembly.
  2. Install bolt securing straight fluid coupling.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    • 4 in extension
  3. Install bolts securing LH mount assembly to rear drive unit. See Rear Drive Unit Assembly - 3DU - Drive Unit - LH Mount - 3DU (Remove and Replace).
