Trim - Trough - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open the liftgate.
  2. Apply masking tape around the LH corner of the rear upper fascia.
  3. Remove the LH liftgate wedge damper base.
  4. Remove the LH liftgate bumper head.
  5. Pull the trunk seal upward to partially remove it.
  6. Release the clips (x3) at the bottom of the LH rear trough trim.
  7. Release the clips (x3) and the double-sided tape strips (x2) at the side of the LH trough trim.

Install

  1. Use IPA wipes to clean the LH through trim body area and allow 1 minute to dry.

    Note
    Recommend to use your thumb to help roll off the adhesive residue.
  2. Remove the release paper from the double-sided tape, then align the location pin at the lower section of the trim to the slot on the body, and then install the clips (x3) at the side of the LH trough trim.
  3. Secure the clips (x3) at the bottom of the LH rear trough trim.
  4. Use a pressure roller to press the LH trough trim area.
  5. Remove all masking tapes from the LH corner of the rear upper fascia.
  6. Install the trunk seal.

    Note
    Tap the seal with a dead blow hammer to smooth it out. Ensure that the seal covers the interior trim panel.
  7. Install the LH liftgate bumper head.
  8. Install the LH liftgate wedge damper base.
  9. Close the liftgate.
