2ND ROW SEAT 5 SEATER - 40 (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the 2nd row seat cushion. See 2ND ROW SEAT CUSHION (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the clips that attach the rear main cabin carpet to vehicle.
  3. Remove and discard the bolts that attach the 2nd row 40 seat frame to body.

    The bottom seat bolts are located behind the main carpet.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
  4. Disconnect the 2nd row 40 seat connector.
  5. With assistance, remove the 2nd row 40 seat assembly from the vehicle.

Install

  1. With assistance, install the 2nd row 40 seat assembly onto the vehicle.
  2. Install new bolts to attach the 2nd row 40 seat frame to body. Torque the bolts in sequence of outboard front, inboard rear, outboard rear, and then inboard front.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

  3. Install the clips that attach the rear main cabin carpet to vehicle.
  4. Connect the 2nd row 40 seat connector.
  5. Install the 2nd row seat cushion. See 2ND ROW SEAT CUSHION (Remove and Replace).
