Reuse

Remove

  1. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Open all four doors and lower all four windows.
  3. Move LH and RH front seat forward.
  4. Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
  5. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  6. On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap Thermal > Coolant System > Coolant Fill/Drain, click Run, and then allow the routine to complete.
  7. On the touchscreen, tap Controls > Service > Towing to place the vehicle into tow mode.
  8. Perform Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure. See Vehicle HV Disablement Procedure.
  9. Remove the rear fascia. See GUID-FF55B6F8-E257-4E77-B06D-3511D38E1426.html.
  10. Remove bolts securing rear stabilizer bar. See Rear Stabilizer Bar and Links - Stabar - Rear - 23.6MM X 3.5MM (Remove and Replace).
  11. Remove the LH and RH rear brake caliper. See BRAKE CALIPER - REAR - LEFT HAND - BASE (Remove and Replace).
  12. Remove the HV battery rear skid plate enclosure. See High Voltage Battery Assembly - Skid Plate - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove bolt securing LH damper to rear lower aft link

  25. Remove HV insulating gloves
  26. Place subframe lifting tool into position underneath rear subframe
  27. Connect air supply to subframe lifting tool
  28. Raise subframe lifting tool to support rear subframe

  70. Install bolts securing rear stabilizer bar. See Rear Stabilizer Bar and Links - Stabar - Rear - 23.6MM X 3.5MM (Remove and Replace).
  71. Install the rear fascia. See GUID-FF55B6F8-E257-4E77-B06D-3511D38E1426.html.
  72. Move both front seats to original position.
  73. Hold the brake pedal and tap Transport Mode on the touchscreen to disable the EPB service mode.
  74. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  75. Close the trunk by using interior switch.
  76. Raise all windows and close all doors.
  77. Remove the lift arms from below the vehicle.
