Interior Radar (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Reuse Do not use regular Torx if the fastener is Torx Plus.

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Rotate the LH and RH sun visors away from the check bases.

  3. Release the clips that attach the front center of the headliner to the body to gain access to the interior radar.
    CAUTION
    Take care not to bend the headliner. Replace any damaged clips.
  4. Disconnect the interior radar connector.
  5. Remove the bolt that attaches the interior radar to the body, then use a clip pry tool to release the clip, and then remove the interior radar from the vehicle.
    CAUTION
    Make sure to use the correct socket to avoid stripping the fastener.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket

      or

    • Torx Plus EP30 socket

Install

  1. Fasten the clip, and then install the bolt that attaches the interior radar to the body.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    CAUTION
    Make sure to use the correct socket to avoid stripping the fastener.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket

      or

    • Torx Plus EP30 socket
  2. Connect the interior radar connector.
  3. Install the clips that attach the front center of the headliner to the body.
    CAUTION
    Take care not to bend the headliner. Replace any damaged clips.
  4. Secure the LH and RH sun visors to the check bases.
  5. Reinstall the software. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
  6. Raise the LH front window and close the LH door.
