Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly. See Assembly - Fascia and Diffuser - Rear (Remove and Install).

  2. Disconnect the trailer hitch harness connector.
  3. Remove the nuts (x6) that attach the bumper beam to the trailer hitch body.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 15 mm deep socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  4. With assistance, remove the trailer hitch assembly from the body studs.

Install

  1. With assistance, install the trailer hitch assembly to the body studs.
  2. Install the nuts (x6) that attach the bumper beam to the trailer hitch body.
    62.5 Nm (46.1 lbs-ft)

    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Connect the trailer hitch harness connector and tuck the harness underneath the bumper beam.
  4. Install the rear fascia assembly. See Assembly - Fascia and Diffuser - Rear (Remove and Install).
  5. Reinstall the vehicle software. See Software Reinstall - Touchscreen.
