 Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the rear fascia assembly from body. See Fascia - Rear - Upper (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the nuts (x6) that attach the rear bumper beam to the vehicle.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 6 in extension
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • 15 mm deep socket
    • Torque wrench with angle measurement(for installation only)

  3. With assistance, remove the rear bumper beam.

Install

  1. Position the rear bumper beam on the body, and then install the nuts (x6) that attach the rear bumper beam to the vehicle.
    60 Nm (44.2 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 6 in extension
    • 15 mm deep socket

  2. Install the rear fascia and diffuser assembly. See Fascia - Rear - Upper (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
