Harness - Instrument Panel Trim - RH - LHD (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the RH instrument panel air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - RHD - Air Wave Duct - Right (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the harness clip from the instrument panel area near the RH controller.
  4. Disconnect the instrument panel harness connector from the electronic steering column.
  5. Release the instrument panel to steering column harness connector from the cross car beam.
  6. Remove the HVAC harness clips (x2) from the instrument mount bracket.
  7. Remove the SCCM harness clip from the cross car beam.
  8. Disconnect J10 instrument panel harness connector from the RH body controller.
  9. Release the instrument panel harness clips (x9) from the upper cross car beam.
  10. Disconnect the blower motor connector and clip.
  11. Release the instrument panel harness clips (x4) from the lower cross car beam.
  12. Remove the LH instrument panel harness clips (x3) from the cross car beam.
  13. Disconnect J10 instrument panel harness connector from the LH body controller.

    Note
    Pay attention to the color and the location of the connector.
  14. Disconnect J11 instrument panel harness connector from the LH body controller.
  15. Disconnect the connectors (x3) on the front side of the car computer.
  16. Remove the clips (x3) to remove the console duct.
  17. Remove the RH instrument panel riser bracket. See Instrument Panel Riser - RH (Remove and Replace).
  18. Disconnect the instrument panel harness connector from the RCM.

    Release the locking tab and then pivot the lever to disconnect the connector.
  19. Remove the instrument panel harness clips (x4) from the body.
  20. Remove the instrument panel harness from the cross car beam.

    Pay attention to the instrument panel harness routing for installation.

Install

  1. Position the instrument panel harness to the cross car beam.

    Note
    Be careful not to twist the harness.
  2. Install the instrument panel harness clips (x4) to the body.
  3. Connect the instrument panel harness connector to the RCM.

    Position the lever and then secure the locking tab.
  4. Install the RH instrument panel riser bracket. See Instrument Panel Riser - RH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Install the clips (x3) to install the console duct.

    Note
    Ensure the console duct is properly installed onto the HVAC assembly.
  6. Connect the connectors (x3) on the front side of the car computer.
  7. Connect J11 instrument panel harness connector to the LH body controller.

    Fully seat the connector and then engage the lock.
  8. Connect J10 instrument panel harness connector to the LH body controller.

    Fully seat the connector and then engage the lock.
  9. Install the LH instrument panel harness clips (x3) to the cross car beam.
  10. Install the RH instrument panel harness connector clip to the cross car beam.
  11. Install the instrument panel harness clips (x4) to the lower cross car beam.
  12. Connect the blower motor connector and clip.
  13. Install the instrument panel harness clips (x9) to the upper cross car beam.
  14. Connect J10 instrument panel harness connector to the RH body controller.
  15. Install the SCCM harness clip to the cross car beam.
  16. Install the HVAC harness clips (x2) to the instrument mount bracket.
  17. Install the instrument panel steering column harness connector to the cross car beam.
  18. Connect the instrument panel harness connector to the electronic steering column.
  19. Install the harness clip to the instrument panel near the RH controller.
  20. Install the RH instrument panel air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - RHD - Air Wave Duct - Right (Remove and Replace).
  21. Install the center console. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
