Carrier - Side Shield - Inboard - 1st Row (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH front seat inboard side shield. See 1st Row Inboard Sideshield - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the inboard side shield carrier front clips (x2) from the LH front seat.
  3. Partially lift the inboard side shield carrier upper shroud from the LH front seat.
    Note
    Don't use too much force to prevent damage to the carrier and the trim.
  4. Remove the inboard side shield carrier from the LH front seat.
    Note
    Pull the carrier backward to release the positioning clips.

Install

  1. Install the inboard side shield carrier to the LH front seat.
    Note
    Push the carrier forward to fix the positioning clips to the seat.
  2. Press the inboard side shield carrier upper shroud into the LH front seat.
    Note
    Adjust the carrier as needed. Use caution not to damage the carrier and the trim.
  3. Install the inboard side shield carrier front clips (x2) to the LH front seat.
  4. Install the LH front seat inboard side shield. See 1st Row Inboard Sideshield - LH (Remove and Replace).
