Seat Position Sensor - 5-Seater - LH (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the LH 2nd row backpanel. See 2nd Row - Backpanel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the clip that secures the 2nd row 60 seat position sensor connector.
  3. Disconnect the 2nd row 60 seat position sensor connector.
  4. Remove the screw that attaches the seat position sensor to the LH 2nd row seat frame.

    Note
    Gently press inward to disengage the sensor, then pull downward to detach it.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

Replace

  1. Install the screw that attaches the seat position sensor to the LH 2nd row seat frame.
    0.8 Nm (7 lbs-in)

    Note
    Gently push the sensor upward.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  2. Connect the 2nd row 60 seat position sensor connector.
  3. Install the clip that secures the 2nd row 60 seat position sensor connector.
  4. Install the LH 2nd row backpanel. See 2nd Row - Backpanel - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Connect a laptop to the diagnostic port of the vehicle, and then use Toolbox 3 to locally connect to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  6. In Toolbox 3.0, click the Actions tab, type "Recline" into the search field, click PROC_VCLEFT_X_2R-SEAT-RECLINE-CALIBRATIONvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Low Voltage ➜ Second Row Seats ➜ Calibrate, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
  7. Exit Service Mode Plus and disconnect the laptop from the vehicle. See Service Mode Plus.
