Ensure the vehicle is not charging.
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Replace).
  4. Raise the vehicle and remove all four wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Lower the vehicle to a working height.
  6. Locally connect a laptop with Toolbox to the vehicle. See Toolbox (Connect and Disconnect).
  7. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_DPB_X_ASSEMBLY-MODEvia Service Mode Plus:Chassis ➜ Brakes ➜ Enter/Exit Assembly Modevia Toolbox:(link)
  8. Clean the area around the brake fluid reservoir breather cap and remove the cap.
  9. Add clean brake fluid to the full level in the bleeder reservoir.
  10. Add clean brake fluid to the MAX level in the reservoir.
  11. Install the pressure bleeder adapter onto the vehicle brake reservoir.
  12. Connect power supply to the bleeder tool, and then turn the bleeder tool on.
  13. Set the brake bleed reservoir pressure to 30 PSI, and then attach the brake bleed reservoir to the brake bleed adapter.
  14. Bleed the LH front caliper.
    1. Remove the LH front caliper outer bleed valve cover, and then install the fluid catcher.
    2. Open the outer bleed valve and watch the fluid as it flows out of the caliper.
    3. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_DPB_BRAKE-FLUID-CHANGEvia Service Mode Plus:chassis ➜ DPB Post Replacement ➜ Bleed FR Calipervia Toolbox:(link)
Informational PurposesAn informational icon, calling your attention
      Note
DPB will pressurize the brake system with impulses.
    4. Close the bleed valve when the pump stops, or when clean fluid without bubbles flows out of the caliper.
    5. Make sure that the reservoir does not go empty, or that the catch bottle does not overfill.
    6. Repeat step 14.b through step 14.e until clean fluid without bubbles flows out of the caliper.
    7. Remove the fluid catcher, and then torque the LH front caliper outer bleed valve and install the outer valve cap.

  16. With assistance, manually bleed the LH rear caliper.
    1. Remove the LH rear caliper bleed valve cap and attach the catch bottle to the valve.
    2. Open the bleed valve (11mm) and watch the fluid as it flows out of the caliper.
    3. Have the assistant fully press the brake pedal for 2 seconds and then release.
    4. Press the brake pedal again. Repeat the bleed process until the LH rear caliper fluid is free of air bubbles and old fluids.
    5. Remove the fluid catcher, and then torque the LH rear caliper bleed valve and install the valve cap.
