Remove
- Remove the lower A-pillar assembly. See A PILLAR LOWER TRIM - LEFT HAND (Remove and Install).
- Release the clips (x4) that attach the LH front seat harness to the sill trim.
- Pull the LH front seat harness out from under the LH front cabin carpet.
- Move the LH front seat fully forward.
- Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the rear of the driver seat to body.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Torx Plus TP45 Bit Socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Move the LH front seat fully rearward.

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the front of the driver seat to body.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Torx Plus TP45 Bit Socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Tilt the LH front seat rearward to
gain access to the underside of the LH front seat.
NoteIt is not necessary to disconnect the LH seat harness from the body controller.
- Remove the LH center console front side panel. See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
- Use a small flat head screwdriver to release the black tabs and then remove the OBD port.
- Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH front carpet to the body, and then remove the LH front carpet from the vehicle.
Install
- Install the LH front carpet into the vehicle and fasten the clips (x2) that attach the LH front carpet to the body.

Install the OBD port.
NoteMake sure that the black tabs are properly installed.
- Install the LH center console front side panel. See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).

Return the LH front seat to the
vertical position.
NoteTake care when moving the seat. Ensure the carpet is not damaged.

Install new bolts (x2) to attach the
front of the driver seat to body.33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:

- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Move the LH front seat fully forward.

Install new bolts (x2) to attach the
rear of the driver seat to body.33.5 Nm (24.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Torx Plus TP45 Bit Socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Raise the LH rear window and close the LH rear door.
- Move the LH front seat to original position.

Route the 1st row LH seat harness
under the LH front carpet, position the harness in the harness guide, and then install
the clips (x4) that attach the harness to the sill trim.
NoteTuck the excess harness between the harness bracket and body.
- Install the LH lower A-pillar assembly. See A PILLAR LOWER TRIM - LEFT HAND (Remove and Install).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
