Actuator - Floor Latch - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the 2nd LH seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the 2nd row LH toe kick panel. See Cover - Toe Kick - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the 2nd row LH seat side shield. See Outer Sideshield - Outboard - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the 2nd row LH seatback panel (9x clips, 2x hooks).

    Note
    Release the clips starting at the top of the backpanel then down to the lower backpanel. Pull the backpanel towards front of the vehicle to remove it.
  5. Remove the center back panel from the 2nd row center seatback.

    Note
    Lift up at the lower back panel and then slide forward to release it.
  6. Remove the screw that secures the center seatback lumbar bun.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
  7. Remove the clips (x2) that secure the center seatback lumbar bun, and then pull the bolster outwards to release the lumbar bun.
  8. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the center seatback pivot clamps.

    Note
    Once the bolts are removed, slide the pivot clamps towards the center of center seatback and pull each outwards to remove.

    • Torx T40 socket
  9. Manually release the center seatback latch.

    Note
    Use a small screwdriver to manipulate the center seatback latch to release.
  10. Lift the center seatback up from the 2nd row LH seat frame to remove it.
  11. Release the 2nd row LH seat harness connectors (x5) and clips (x6) from the seat frame.
  12. Remove the 2nd row LH seat inboard outer B-cover. See Trim - B-Cover Inboard Outer - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  13. Remove the push clips (x2) from the front of the 2nd row LH bottom seat pan.
  14. Remove the fasteners (x4) that attach the 2nd row LH seat pan to the seat frame.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm 12-point deep socket
    • Torx T25 socket
  15. Remove the headrest from the 2nd row LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Simultaneously depress the guide button and insert a 90 degree pick into the guide opening. Lift up while engaged.
  16. Remove the headrest guides from the 2nd row LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Pull back on the lower portion of the headrest guide to release the tab while also applying upward force to remove the headrest guides.
  17. Disconnect the harness connectors (x3) and harness clips (x3) from the 2nd row LH seatback.
  18. Remove the 2nd row LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Release the clips (x4) securing the 2nd row LH seatback and lift it upwards. The seat belt will be removed in a later step.
  19. Remove and discard the bolt that secures the 2nd row center seat belt anchor.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
  20. Remove the 2nd row center seat belt guide (2x clips, 2x datums).
  21. Remove the 2nd row center seat belt from the 2nd row LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Pass the seat belt through the opening.
  22. Slightly lift the 2nd row LH seat cushion pan upward but do not fully remove at this time.
  23. Disconnect the seat cables from the floor latch and the easy entry actuators (4x clips).
  24. Remove the 2nd row LH seat cushion assembly.

    Note
    Remove the seat bottom by lifting the rear first and then removing it towards the front of the seat.
  25. Remove the bolts (x2) that secure the 2nd row LH floor latch actuator, and then disconnect the connector and release the harnesses from the zip-ties.

    • 8 mm deep socket

Install

  1. Connect the harness connector, secure the harnesses by using zip-ties, and then install the bolts (x2) that secure the 2nd row LH floor latch actuator.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    • 8 mm deep socket
  2. Install a new bolt (1556123-00-A) that secures the 2nd row center seat belt anchor.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T50 socket
  3. Connect the seat cables to the floor latch and the easy entry actuators (4x clips).
  4. Place the 2nd row LH seat pan onto the seat frame.

    Note
    Reinstall the seat bottom onto the seat frame by starting at the rear of the seat.
  5. Install the 2nd row center seat belt to the 2nd row LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Pass the seat belt through the opening.
  6. Install the 2nd row center seat belt guide (2x clips, 2x datums).
  7. Push the front of the seat cushion back into place and install the clips (x2).
  8. Secure the fasteners (x4) that attach the 2nd row LH seat pan to the seat frame.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    The 10 mm bolts (x3) are 6 Nm, the T25 bolt is 1.5 Nm.

    • Torx T25 socket
  9. Install the 2nd row LH seatback into place (4x clips).

    Note
    Slide the seat back into place making sure the bottom retainers slide into place. Reinstall the push clips to secure the seat back.
  10. Install the headrest guides into the 2nd row LH seat assembly.

    Install the headrest guides by pressing downwards until the lower tab is seated.
  11. Install the headrest onto the 2nd row LH seat assembly and push down to secure.
  12. Secure the harness onto the 2nd row LH seatback (3x connectors, 3x clips).
  13. Install the bolts (x2) that secure the center seatback pivot clamps.
    22 Nm (16.2 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Insert the pivot clamp at the center of the center frame and slide outwards to install the fasteners. When replacing the pivot clamps, they must be replaced in pairs.

  14. Install the center seatback lumbar bun (2x clips).

    Note
    Press the seatback lumbar bun into the center frame.
  15. Install the 2nd row LH seat inboard outer B-cover. See Trim - B-Cover Inboard Outer - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  16. Install the 2nd row LH seat side shield. See Outer Sideshield - Outboard - 2nd Row Seat - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  17. Install the center seatback lumbar bun fastener.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T20 bit
  18. Insert the backpanel hooks (x2) into the center seat back assembly.

    Note
    Engage the hooks and slide the panel rearward into position. Early production have 4 hooks.
  19. Insert the backpanel hooks (x2) into the 2nd row LH seat back assembly.
  20. Install the 2nd row LH backpanel onto the seat back (9x clips).

    Note
    Start from the lower backpanel and then work up towards the upper backpanel.
  21. Install the 2nd row LH toe kick panel. See Cover - Toe Kick - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  22. Secure the 2nd row LH seat harness connectors (x5) and clips (x6) onto the seat frame.
  23. Install the 2nd LH seat assembly. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace).
  24. Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
  25. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  26. Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): PROC_VCLEFT_X_2R-SEAT-RECLINE-CALIBRATIONvia Service Mode:Low Voltage ➜ Second Row Seats ➜ Calibratevia Toolbox:(link)
  27. Exit Service Mode or disconnect the laptop if applicable (see 0005 - Service Modes).
