Trim Cover - Cushion - 2nd Row Seat - RH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower all four windows.
  3. Move RH front seat forward.
  4. Position RH seat into easy entry mode.
  5. Partially remove RH rear door seal.

    Pillar and sill trim have tabs seated underneath seal.
  6. Remove RH C-pillar lower trim.
  7. Move RH seat to original position.
  8. Fold 2nd row RH seatback down.

    Note
    Via seat switch or manual tether, and protect seat back upholstery if necessary.
  9. Remove RH seat outboard track cover.

    Slide cover forward to release from RH seat track.
  10. Remove center track cover from 2nd row seats.

    Slide covers forward to release from 2nd row seat tracks.
  11. Release cabin carpet from RH seat.

    Note
    Pull cabin carpet towards front of vehicle.
  12. Remove bolts securing RH seat podium to vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket

    Note
    Discard bolts after removal.
  13. Move RH seat forward using towel bar.

    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  14. Remove bolts securing RH seat inner and outer tracks to vehicle.

    Discard bolts after removal.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket
  15. Move RH seat fully rearward using towel bar.

    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat rearward with your other hand.
  16. Move 2nd row RH seatback to vertical position.

    Note
    Via seat switch or manual tether, remove seatback protection if necessary.
  17. Disconnect 2nd row RH seat connector.

    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  18. Remove RH seat from vehicle.

    Note
    If seat that is not being replaced does not have ISOFIX flag for child locks, the seat cover will also require replacement.
  19. Remove RH seat toe kick cover.
  20. Remove clip securing RH seat side shield to cushion pan.
  21. Remove RH seat side shield from RH seat.

    Note
    Release rear side shield clip, then lift side shield upward to release hook from cushion pan.
  22. Remove RH 2nd row inboard outer B cover.

    Pull inboard outer cover away from seat frame to remove.
  23. Fold RH seat into up position.
  24. Remove screw securing RH 2nd row inboard inner B cover to seat bottom.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  25. Disconnect 2nd row RH seat heater connector.
  26. Release 2nd row RH seat heater harness.
  27. Disconnect RH seat RH floor latch connector.
  28. Disconnect RH seat LH floor latch connector.
  29. Disconnect RH seatbelt buckle connector.
  30. Disconnect RH seat track position sensor connector.
  31. Disconnect seat heating connector.
  32. Release clips securing RH seat cushion harness to podium.
  33. Remove bolts securing RH seat cushion pan to seat frame.

    • 10 mm deep socket
  34. Remove clip securing RH seat cushion pan to seat frame.
  35. Release floor latch actuator.

  36. Slightly lift RH seat cushion pan upward.

    Note
    Lift RH seat cushion upward but do not fully remove at this time.
  37. Release RH seat easy entry actuator.

  38. Release RH seat actuator switch box.

  39. Disconnect RH seat occupancy sensor connector .
  40. Release RH seat occupancy sensor harness from cushion pan.
  41. Remove RH seat bottom harness.
  42. Remove RH seat cushion assembly from seat frame.

    Lift cushion pan tabs upwards and remove seat cushion assembly.
  43. Remove RH seat cushion trim cover from cushion pan.
  44. Release Velcro securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.

    Release Velcro approximately 11 cm until hog rings are visible.
  45. Remove front hog rings securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.
  46. Release remaining velcro securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.

    Note
    Release Velcro approximately 21 cm until hog rings are visible.
  47. Remove rear hooks securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad and remove RH seat cushion trim cover.

Install

  1. Position RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad and install rear hog rings securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.
  2. Install velcro securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.

    Install Velcro approximately 21 cm.
  3. Install front hooks securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.
  4. Install remaing Velcro securing RH seat cushion trim cover to foam pad.
  5. Install RH seat cushion trim cover to cushion pan.

    Note
    Properly route occupancy sensor harness and heat pad harness through cushion pan.
  6. Position RH seat cushion assembly to seat frame for installation.

    Do not fully seat cushion assembly at this time.
  7. Install RH seat bottom harness.
  8. Install RH seat easy entry actuator.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  9. Install RH seat actuator switch box.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  10. Fully seat RH seat cushion assembly to seat frame.

    Note
    Push downwards to full seat cushion pan to seat frame, and be cautious to not pinch actuator cables or cushion harness.
  11. Install floor latch actuator.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  12. Install RH seat occupancy sensor harness into cushion pan.
  13. Connect RH seat occupancy sensor connector.
  14. Install clip securing RH seat cushion pan to seat frame.
  15. Install bolts securing RH seat cushion pan to seat frame.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  16. Secure 2nd row RH seat heater harness.

    Slide up to release.
  17. Connect 2nd row RH seat heater connector.
  18. Connect RH seat RH floor latch connector.
  19. Connect RH seat LH floor latch connector.
  20. Connect RH seatbelt buckle connector.
  21. Connect RH seat track position sensor connector.
  22. Connect seat heating connector.
  23. Install screw securing RH 2nd row inboard inner B cover onto seat bottom.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

  24. Install RH 2nd row inboard outer B cover.
  25. Install RH seat side shield to RH seat.

    Install side shield hook first, then secure clip.
  26. Install clip securing RH seat side shield to cushion pan.
  27. Install RH seat toe kick cover.
  28. Install RH seat into vehicle.

    Recommend assistance, do not support RH seat by cushion pan, Support RH seat by podium.
  29. Connect 2nd row RH seat connector.

    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  30. Install new bolts (X2) securing RH seat podium to vehicle hand tight.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

  31. Move RH seat forward using towel bar.

  32. Install new bolts (X2) securing RH seat inner and outer tracks to vehicle.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

  33. Move RH seat to original position.
  34. Install cabin carpet to RH seat.
  35. Torque bolts securing RH seat podium to vehicle.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
  36. Install center track cover to 2nd row seats.

    Slide cover straight on to clip to 2nd row seat tracks.
  37. Install RH seat outboard track cover.
  38. Position RH seat into easy entry mode.

    Press shoulder switch and push RH seat forward to position into easy entry mode.
  39. Install RH rear sill trim.

    Note
    Install rear edge of RH rear sill trim into trunk side trim and work your way forward securing clips.
  40. Reseat RH rear door seal.

    Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal.
  41. Move RH seat to original position.
  42. Move RH front seat to original position.
  43. Raise all four window.
