Remove
- Set up the AC machine.
- Open all doors and lower all windows.
- On the touchscreen, tap , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column fully outward and fully downward.
- Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap , and allow the routine to complete.
- Remove the center console rear end panel. See Console - End Panel (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolts (x2) that attaches the LH and RH rear of the center console to the
body.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Move the LH and RH front seats backward.
- Disconnect the LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
- Remove the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH lower A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the instrument panel lower assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH footwell ducts. See Footwell Duct - Driver (Remove and Replace) and Footwell Duct - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH center console front side panels. See Side Panel - Front - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace) and Side Panel - Front - Center Console - RH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the RH instrument panel air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - Air Wave Duct - RH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the air intake duct. See Duct - Air Intake (Remove and Replace).
- Recover the refrigerant system. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge) (Restore).

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the supermanifold to HVAC A/C line to the
HVAC.
TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 13 mm socket
- 11 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Remove the cowl screen panel. See Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the center console assembly. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH instrument panel air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - Air Wave Duct - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the cowl top foam. See Cowl Top Foam - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).

Remove the cross car beam. See Beam - Cross Car (Remove and Replace).
NoteIt is not necessary to remove the LH and RH display support brackets from the cross car beam.

Disconnect the J11 HVAC connector from
the RH body controller and release the harness clip.

Remove the blower motor harness clip
from the cross car beam.

Disconnect the blower motor
connector.

Remove the bolt that attaches the HVAC
assembly to RH side of the bulkhead.
TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

With assistance, remove the HVAC
assembly from the vehicle.
Install

With assistance, install the HVAC
assembly to the vehicle.

Install the bolt that attaches the HVAC assembly to RH side of the bulkhead.
5.5 Nm (4.1 lbs-ft)TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- 10 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Connect the blower motor
connector.
-
Install the blower motor harness clip
to the cross car beam.
-
Connect the J11 HVAC connector to the
RH body controller and install the harness clip.
- Install the cross car beam. See Beam - Cross Car (Remove and Replace).

Replace the seal washers (x5) on the
supermanifold to HVAC A/C line assembly on the HVAC side, and then lubricate the washers
with ND-11 oil.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the supermanifold to HVAC A/C line to the
HVAC.
28 Nm (20.6 lbs-ft)TipUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 13 mm socket
- 11 in extension

- Recharge the refrigerant system. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge) (Restore).
- Install the cowl top foam. See Cowl Top Foam - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH instrument panel air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - Air Wave Duct - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the center console assembly. See Center Console (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH and RH center console front side panels. See Side Panel - Front - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace) and Side Panel - Front - Center Console - RH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the instrument panel lower assembly. See Assembly - Instrument Panel - Lower (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH footwell ducts. See Footwell Duct - Driver (Remove and Replace) and Footwell Duct - Passenger (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - Air Wave Duct - RH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH and RH lower A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Lower - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the cowl screen panel. See Cowl Screen (Remove and Replace).
- Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- On the touchscreen, tap the Service Mode "wrench" (at the bottom of the touchscreen UI), and then tap , and allow the routine to complete.
- Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Install air intake duct. See Duct - Air Intake (Remove and Replace).
- Install the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
- Move both front seats to original position.
- Install the center console rear end panel. See Console - End Panel (Remove and Replace).
- On the touchscreen, tap , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column back to original position.
- Raise all windows and close all doors.
