Module - Rear End - Center Console (Remove and Install)

Torque Specifications

Replace 1096312-00-C

Remove

  1. Remove the center console rear end panel. See Console - End Panel (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Remove the LH and RH rear side panels. See Side Panel - Rear - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Open the armrest.
  5. Release the clips (x4), tabs (x2) to partially release the rear section of the LH hocky stick from the center console, and then insert an inflatable airbag between the hocky stick and the center console.

    Note
    This is to gain enough space to the rear end display fasteners.
  6. Release the clips (x4), tabs (x2) to partially release the rear section of the RH hocky stick from the center console, and then insert an inflatable airbag between the hocky stick and the center console.

    This is to gain enough space to the rear end display assembly.
  7. Remove the screws (x6) that attach the rear display assembly to the center console.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
  8. Release the datums (x2) that attach the rear end module to the center console.
  9. Disconnect the rear end module electrical connectors (x3).
  10. Remove and discard the bolt that attaches the ground harness to the rear end module assembly, then remove the rear end module assembly from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install a new bolt that attaches the ground harness to the rear end module assembly.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)

  2. Connect the rear end module electrical connectors (x3).
  3. Install the datums (x2) that attach the rear end module to the center console.
  4. Install the screws (x6) that attach the rear display assembly to the center console.
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)

  5. Deflate the airbag and remove it from the vehiclle, and then install clips (x4) and tabs (x2) that attach the rear section of the LH hocky stick.

    Note
    Make sure that all tabs and clips are properly engaged.
  6. Deflate the airbag and remove it from the vehiclle, and then install clips (x4) and tabs (x2) that attach the rear section of the RH hocky stick.

    Make sure that all tabs and clips are properly engaged.
  7. Close the armrest.
  8. Install the LH and RH rear side panels. See Side Panel - Rear - Center Console - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Connect the LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  10. Install the center console rear end panel. See Console - End Panel (Remove and Replace).
