Carrier - Side Shield - Outboard - Driver Seat (Model YL / Model Y Performance) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the driver seat outboard side shield. See Carrier - Side Shield - Outboard - 1st Row (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the straps (x2) that attach the shell apron to the underside of the seat, and then move the straps away from the underside of the seat.
  3. Push inwards and pull back to release the bottom clip on the LH side of the driver seat back shell, and then carefully pull the shell backwards to gain enough space for the following steps.
  4. Use a flat head screwdriver to release the front clips (x2) that attach the driver seat outboard side shield carrier to the seat assembly.
  5. Release the tab and lift the carrier, and then pull it backwards to release the rear clips (x2), and then rotate the carrier away to remove it from the seat frame.

    CAUTION
    Don't use too much force to prevent damage to the carrier and trim.

Install

  1. Instal the rear tabs (x2) of the driver seat outboard side shield carrier into the seat frame, and then rotate the carrier to install it to the seat assembly.

    Note
    Make sure that the inner trim panel of the carrier is inside the seat cushion frame when pressing.
  2. Install the front clips (x2) that attach the driver seat outboard side shield carrier to the seat assembly.
  3. Push the bottom of the driver seat back shell forward to install the bottom clip that attaches the LH side of the shell to the seat back frame.
  4. Hook the straps (x2) onto the driver seat suspension.
  5. Install the driver seat outboard side shield. See Carrier - Side Shield - Outboard - 1st Row (Remove and Replace).
