FRONT FASCIA (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the center headlamp. See Lightbar - Front (Remove and Install).
  2. Disconnect the front fascia camera washer hose, and then release the clip that attaches the hose to the vehicle.
  3. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the upper portion of the front fascia to the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  4. Remove the LH and RH front fender garnishes. See Fender Garnish - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  6. Remove the clips (x6) that attach the LH and RH sides of the valance to the front wheel arch liners.
  7. Release the clip that attaches the pedestrian warning harness to the speaker, and then disconnect the pedestrian warning connector.
  8. Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the valance to the front fascia.

    • 10 mm socket
  9. Release the clips (x4) that attach the front wheel arch liners to the front fascia assembly.

  10. Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the front fascia.
  11. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH and RH corners of the front fascia to the LH front fender.

  12. Apply masking tape around the LH and RH headlamps and front fender to protect the paint on the vehicle.

  13. With assistance, release the clips (x16) that attach the front fascia assembly to the vehicle.

    Note
    Release both sides of the front fascia assembly, and then carefully pull the fascia assembly up and forward to remove it from the vehicle.

    Place the front fascia assembly on a padded surface.

    CAUTION
    Take care not damage the headlamps and front fender.
  14. Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the LH and RH corners of the valance to the front fascia assembly.

    • Torx T40 socket
  15. Release the locating tabs (x6) that attach the valance to the front fascia, and then remove the valance from the front fascia assembly.
  16. Disconnect the front fascia camera connector.
  17. Release the clips (x4) that attach the front fascia electrical harness to the front fascia, and then remove the front fascia harness from the front fascia assembly.
  18. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the grille to the front fascia.

  19. Remove the clips (x18) that attach the grille to the front fascia, and then separate the grille from the front fascia.

Install

  1. Position the grille onto the front fascia, and then install the clips (x16) that attach the grille to the front fascia.
  2. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the grille to the front fascia.

  3. Install the clips (x4) that attach the front fascia electrical harness to the front fascia.
  4. Connect the front fascia camera connector.
  5. Install the guide tabs (x6) that attach the valance to the front fascia.
  6. Install the bolts (x6) that attach the LH and RH corners of the valance to the front fascia assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

  7. With assistance, install the clips (x16) that attach the front fascia assembly to the vehicle.

    Feed the front fascia camera wash hose through the front end carrier.

    CAUTION
    Take care not damage the headlamps and front fender.
  8. Remove the masking tapes from the headlamps and front fender.
  9. Connect the front fascia camera washer hose, and then install the clip that attaches the hose to the vehicle.
  10. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the upper portion of the front fascia to the vehicle.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)

  11. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH and RH corners of the front fascia to the LH front fender.

  12. Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the front fascia.
  13. Install the clips (x4) that attach the LH and RH front wheel arch liner to the front fascia assembly.

  14. Connect the pedestrian warning connector, and then install the clip that attaches the pedestrian warning harness to the speaker.
  15. Install the bolts (x3) that attach the valance to the front fascia.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    Apply a thin bead of Loctite 222 to the threads of the bolts that attach the front aero shield panel to the vehicle.

  16. Install the push clips (x6) that attach the LH and RH sides of the valance to the wheel liners.
  17. Install the front aero shield panel. See Panel - Aero Shield - Front (Remove and Replace).
  18. Install the LH and RH front fender garnishes. See Fender Garnish - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  19. Install the center headlamp. See Lightbar - Front (Remove and Install).
