Remove
- Remove the LH front door trim. See Door Trim - Front - LH (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH front door inner belt seal. See Inner Belt Seal - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH front door outer belt seal. See Outer Belt - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the plugs that cover the
openings in door for access to the regulator guide blocks.

Connect the window switch tool to the
LH front door electrical harness.

Latch the LH front door to allow the
window to raise fully, and then raise the window for access to the regulator guide
blocks.
CAUTIONDo not close the door with the window in this position.

Remove the bolt that secures the
rearmost regulator guide block.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Loosen the bolt that secures the
foremost regulator guide block, and then secure a set of suction cups to the door glass
to remove the glass from the door.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- SOCKET, 1/4" DR., DEEP, MAGNETIC, 10MM
Install

Inspect the regulator guide blocks for
glass splinters or other debris, and clean them if necessary.
CAUTIONDebris and splinters may damage or shatter the new door glass.

Position the LH front door glass onto
the LH front door, and then hand-tighten the bolts (x2) that secure the glass to the
guide blocks.
NoteMake sure the clamps are not bottomed out on the regulator.
- Release the LH front door latch by pulling the emergency release cable.
- Lower the LH front window fully.
- Install the LH front door outer belt seal. See Outer Belt - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH front door inner belt seal. See Inner Belt Seal - Front Door - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Request an assistant sit in the driver seat, and then close the LH front door.
- Raise the LH front window fully using the window switch tool.
- Inspect the LH front window for proper gap and flushness.

Have the assistant tighten the bolts
(x2) that secure the glass to the isolator clamps.12 Nm (8.8 lbs-ft)NoteHaving the assistant perform this step can avoid position change of the window.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- SOCKET, 1/4" DR., DEEP, MAGNETIC, 10MM
- Lower the LH front window fully and open the LH front door.

Disconnect the window switch
tool.

Install the plugs that cover the
openings in door.
- Install the LH front door trim. See Door Trim - Front - LH (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Replace).
- Place the vehicle in Service Mode by using the touchscreen. See Service Mode.
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- Perform the following routine using Service Mode or Toolbox (see 0005 - Service Modes): TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_FRONT-L_CALIBRATE-WINDOWvia Toolbox: (link)
- Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
