WINDOW REGULATOR CLOSEOUT - REAR DOOR - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the LH rear door glass. See MOVING SIDE GLASS - REAR DOOR - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  3. Disconnect the electrical harness from the LH rear window motor.
  4. Disconnect the electrical harness from the LH rear door pressure sensor.
  5. Release the clip that attaches the manual latch release cable to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
  6. Release the clips (x3) that attach the LH rear door harness to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
  7. Twist the tabs counterclockwise and remove the LH rear door pressure sensor from the closeout assembly.
  8. Remove the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear window closeout assembly, and then remove the motor from the closeout assembly.

  9. Remove the plugs (x2) that cover the LH rear window closeout assembly rail fasteners.
  10. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the LH rear window closeout assembly to the LH rear door.

    • 10 mm socket
  11. Remove the screws (x11) that attach the LH rear window closeout assembly to the LH rear door, and then gently lift the closeout assembly upwards to release the datums and angle the bottom of the assembly from the door.

    CAUTION
    Never loosen or remove the nuts (x4) that attach the regulator arms to the assembly closeout panel.

  12. Remove the screws (x4) that attach the LH rear window regulator to the LH rear window closeout assembly.

  13. Release the guide pins and dowels that attach the LH rear window regulator to the LH rear window closeout assembly, and then remove the closeout panel from the assembly.

Install

  1. Position the LH rear window regulator to the closeout panel, and install the guide pins and dowels that attach the LH rear window regulator to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
  2. Install the screws (x4) that attach the LH rear window regulator to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T25 socket
  3. Install the LH rear window closeout assembly up and into the LH rear door, and then install the datums that attach the closeout assembly to the LH rear door.
  4. Install the screws (x11) that attach the LH rear window closeout assembly to the LH rear door.
    4.5 Nm (3.3 lbs-ft)

  5. Install the screws (x2) that attach the LH rear window closeout assembly to the LH rear door.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  6. Install the plugs (x2) that cover the LH rear window closeout assembly rail fasteners.
  7. Position the LH rear window motor to the closeout assembly, and then install the screws (x3) that attach the LH rear window motor to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)

  8. Position the LH rear door pressure sensor to the closeout assembly and twist the tabs clockwise to install it.
  9. Fasten the clips (x3) that attach the LH rear door harness to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
  10. Connect the electrical harness to the LH rear door pressure sensor.
  11. Connect the electrical harness to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
  12. Fasten the clip that attaches the manual latch release cable to the LH rear window closeout assembly.
  13. Connect LV power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
  14. Install the LH rear door glass. See MOVING SIDE GLASS - REAR DOOR - LEFT HAND (Remove and Replace).
